Fr. Caius
I am Emanuel Barnabas Temu, a Consolata Missionary Father born on 28 December 1985 Moshi – Tanzania. I am the second son of the family of two children. In 2009 I joined Consolata Missionaries beginning my priestly formation journey at Morogoro – Tanzania where I graduated my B.A in Philosophy (Jordan University College) and thereafter I was sent to Sagana-Kenya for my novitiate formation which was concluded by religious profession on 17th July 2014. In the same year I was sent to Rome – Italy for the B.A in Theology at the Pontifical University of Urbaniana (Vatican City) where I graduated June 2018 and sent to Turin-Italy to work with youths and doing some master degree courses in Pastoral Theology at the Pontifical University of Salesian while preparing for my final vows and deaconate ordination.
I was ordained priest on 27th June 2019 at the diocese of Moshi-Tanzania and sent to work in the Republic of China (Taiwan). Upon arrival, I immediately began Chinese language course at the Fu Jen Catholic University for one (1) followed by one year of one-to-one class at the language centre of Hsinchu Diocese. After finishing two years of mandarin studies, I was destined to Saint Joseph Hsinpu Catholic Church as vice parish priest for one year. I’m currently working at Sacred Heart of Jesus Ximenjie Parish as a vice parish priest.
On March 6, 2022, Bishop John Lee of the Hsinchu Diocese appointed Fr. Emanuel as the Vice Parish Priest of St. Joseph Church in Xinpu Town, and served the pastoral evangelization work in Xinfeng area.
On January 1, 2023, Bishop John Lee of the Hsinchu Diocese appointed Fr. Emanuel as the Vice Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Hsinchu City, and concurrently served as the English Secretary of the Bishop's Office.
