Hsinchu Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Fr. Kirimi Jasper Niuk

My name is Kirimi, Jasper Njuki a Consolata missionary priest. I was born in Meru county-Kenya, on Apr. 30, 1983.From a young age I admired the work done by the missionaries who were working and had worked in my place and thought it would be a good thing to be like them and continue the good work. In Aug. 2004, I joined the Consolata missionaries to begin or rather to continue this long journey towards this dream.

After philosophical studies in Nairobi, I attended the year of novitiate at Sagana in Kirinyaga county-Kenya, at the end of which I made my temporal vows. Afterwards I was sent by my superiors to South Africa for theological studies, at the end of which I made my perpetual vows, was ordained a deacon in Dec. 2014, and returned home for the service as a deacon and preparation for the priestly ordination which took place in Aug. 2015. After my priestly ordination I was sent to the region of Asia, to join the new group in Taiwan. I arrived here in July 2016, Presently I am deeply involved in learning the Chinese language which is used in this part of the world.

Taiwan is my first posting as a Consolata missionary. I arrived in Taiwan in July 2016. Before, I never thought I would ever come to Taiwan to help in the Catholic Church, now I thank God for this opportunity to serve him here and ask him for his graces that I might become a good servant of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bishop Li of the Hsinchu Diocese, on November 2, 2018, appointed Fr. Kirimi, Jasper Njuki, as the Vice Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart Church of Hsinchu City.
